Best Time to Visit: Har Ki Dun is a summer and autumn trek. This Trek is most pleasant from April to June and September to November. Roopkund is also a summer trek, best in the months between May and June.

Terrain: Suitable for beginners, Har ki Dun has not-so-steep slopes. Roopkund’s terrains are suitable for experienced trekkers because the ascent and descent are considered challenging.

Weather: Har Ki Dun enjoys pleasant weather during the summer with temperatures up to 21 degrees and the lowest to -11 degrees in winter. Roopkund’s temperatures go as high as 20 degrees and as low as -15 degrees. 

Difficulty: The Har Ki Dun trek is most suitable for beginners and is comparatively an easy trek. Roopkund is a difficult trek that requires prior experience and a good fitness level.

Trek Cost: The Har Ki Dun trek package ranges from Rs.10,000 to Rs.14,000 while the packages of Roopkund range from 12,000 to 15,000.
