Work From Mountain Sankri Uttarakhand - My Unforgettable Experience with Himalaya Shelter

Living in the Sankri Hill Station it was a great experience, as I was able to combine working from home with exploring the local village life. I called as work from Mountains. It is a 7-8 hrs drive from Dehradun and Himalaya Shelter provides the pick and drop facility as well. Thanks to Himalaya Shelter for providing such a good facility, and my company for allowing me to work from Sankri Homestay.

They have a good range of wifi internet available for work and even if sometimes it may have ups and downs, if you have Jio 5G you will get good backup from your mobile phone as Jio 5g has good speed over there. You will definitely feel the vibes of “Work from Mountains” here.

The serene surroundings of the village provided the perfect backdrop for work in such cold situations, while also allowing me to immerse myself in the natural beauty and cultural heritage of the Sankri Hill Station. The day I reached the temperature was -2°c surrounded by snow around where I stayed. Initially, it was difficult for me to adjust as I come from the Maharashtra region Pune where the temperature is not so cool, it is always moderate, but that was self challenge for me which then I was proud and happy that I did well in such a situation. Actually, the plan was to work from Monday to Friday, travel on weekends, and visit places on weekends.

In addition to my work, I also had the opportunity to embark on the Kedarkantha trek, which was a challenging yet rewarding adventure – 12500 ft. The trek allowed me to witness breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, and to connect with the natural environment in a profound way.

The food at the local eateries was a true highlight of my trip, and I thoroughly enjoyed every meal. The use of fresh, locally sourced ingredients really shone through in every dish, and I appreciated the authenticity and attention to flavor. Additionally, the warm hospitality of the locals made the dining experience even more enjoyable. I was vegan but they had good non-veg food available as well.
I would recommend to stay more as the climate keeps changing and u can see different views as I was much lucky to see a good snowfall and had great pictures and videos and awesome memories which I can’t forget.
