The Nafran Valley trek is one of the best trekking places in Kashmir, located in the heart of the Himalayas. It is a natural, uncultivated area that is famous for the great view, wonderful landscapes and somewhat challenging terrains, quiet peaceful and secluding. I would like to describe Nafran Valley as a place with high need if you are an enthusiastic trekker or if you are looking for a place where you can find calmness and quietness.
Therefore, The Nafran Valley Trek is one of the most stunning treks, offering comparatively difficult trails and ample opportunities to interact with local culture. In contrast to well-known treks such as KLUTG and TMM, Nafrar is solely surrounded by modest trees and detached from any human intrusion.
In this place, walking is the insisted activity, what with its peak mountains, green meadows, and alpine forests. Precisely this the Nafran Valley does. Starting from the day when one finds himself at the start line of the trek at a beautiful Aru village the whole scene is reminiscent of the trekking at Pir Panjal Trek and the Kashmir Great Lake which is quite famous all over the world. The route again goes through the scented pine trees based on the water of the Aru River with the August mountains.
In this valley, coniferous trees and alpine region flowers thrive, creating a rich bio-diversity. Thus, perhaps, tourists can also get a view of such objects as the Himalayan ibex, snow leopard, etc., and several birds. It is indeed a living statement and largely reflects how pure and pristine the world is.
Trekkers, regardless of their level of experience, can recommend the Nafran Lowlands for its moderate walking pace. It also has both the natural tufts of grass and normal rocks on along the mountain ridges to make the trekking even more exciting.
At an elevation of 11,480 feet above sea level, this lake is calm and lovely. Camping near Harnag Lake will indeed prove to be an adventurous one for lovers.
When traversing the ancient Harnag Pass, one sees the breathtaking sights of the Kolahoi peak. Glacier in a pristine natural setting that makes one realize how small he is in this world.
All our trek leaders at Himalaya Shelter are not only trekking enthusiasts but also well-trained. Climbing-certified, search and rescue-certified, and first aid-certified, these people have all the necessary knowledge and experience to provide you with an excellent and safe trek.
We also have onboard medical kits for altitude sickness and different kinds of emergency needs, oxygen tanks included. We ensure your safety is our top priority while trekking with us.
For the overall satisfaction of the trek and to minimize the impact on the ecosystems and the environment we restrict the number of clientele we take per trek to a maximum of 12 people. This maintains a special focus and attends to individuals and the environmental systems more intimately. We also have quality equipment for the trek to ensure the client has a safe and comfortable experience throughout the trekking period.
The most preferable season to go for the Nafran Valley Trek experience is from June to September. These are the best months to travel because the weather is good with daytime temperatures that hover between 15°C and 25°C. Everything is blooming and the terrains are most gorgeous at this time of the year. During July and August, we experience light rain, but it has little impact on trekking. Light rains do not significantly affect the trekking during July and August.
Endless Grasslands: We therefore see that the extended green land has thickets to it with a beautiful view best time to cultivate it as a flower garden is in July and early August.
Striking Blue Lakes: Despite the untidy surroundings, water in Harbhagwan Lake and Harnag Lake is still and clear which is good for taking rest and taking photographs.
Close-up Glacier Views: The Kolahoi Glacier which has steep and huge ice walls as a base is something that a trekker will always wish to see.
The Nafran Valley Trek experience is one of the unbeaten tracks in the world, boasting pleasant natural vistas that accompany trekkers. The inherent characteristic of the cultural profile of the people inhabiting the region; and the thrill that the walk presents. If you are capable and eager, you will find this trek to be the best option for Himalayan sightseeing. Therefore fasten your shoelace pack your bags and let me take you on a ride and unveil the unknown portion of Nafran Valley.
