It is a natural, uncultivated area that is famous for the great view, wonderful landscapes and somewhat challenging terrains, quiet peaceful and secluding. Why Nafran Valley?

Therefore, the Nafran Valley Trek can be regarded as one of the most stunning treks which offers comparatively difficult but not very complex trails and numerous opportunities to get acquainted with the local culture. In contrast to well-known treks such as KLUTG and TMM, Nafrar is solely surrounded by modest trees and detached from any human intrusion.

The Scenic Splendour

Perhaps, walking can be considered the insisted activity in this place since it features the peak of mountains, the green colourful meadows, and the alpine forests. Precisely this the Nafran Valley does. Starting from the day when one finds himself at the start line of the trek at a beautiful Aru village the whole scene is reminiscent of the trekking at Pir Panjal Trek and the Kashmir Great Lake which is quite famous all over the world. The route again goes through the scented pine trees based on the water of the Aru River with the August mountains.

Flora and Fauna

This valley is a bio-diversity zone; some flowers of alpine regions and coniferous trees are found in this valley. Thus, perhaps, tourists can also get a view of such objects as the Himalayan ibex, snow leopard, etc., and several birds. It is indeed a living statement and largely reflects how pure and pristine the world is.

The Trekking Experience

The walking pace in the Nafran Lowlands is moderate so the area can be recommended to any trekkers regardless of their level of repetitiveness. It also has both the natural tufts of grass and normal rocks on along the mountain ridges to make the trekking even more exciting.

Key Highlights

Harnag Lake

This is a calm, lovely lake that has been placed at 11,480 feet above sea level. Camping near Harnag Lake will indeed prove to be an adventurous one for lovers.

Best Time to Trek the Nafran Valley

The most preferable season to go for the Nafran Valley Trek is from June to September. These are the best months to travel because the weather is good with daytime temperatures that hover between 15°C and 25°C. Everything is blooming and the terrains are most gorgeous at this time of the year. Although rainy seasons are experienced in July and August there are light rains which do not in any way affect the trekking.

Unique Features

Endless Grasslands: We therefore see that the extended green land has thickets to it with a beautiful view best time to cultivate it as a flower garden is in July and early August.
