However, it takes 3 to 4 days to cover the Chopta Chandrashila Trek which is not an elevation of about 13,123 ft (4,000m). The altitude and time duration of both treks differ from each other.
Kedarkantha is located in Uttarkashi district and Chopta Chandrashila is located in Rudraprayag district. The best time to do the Kedarkantha trek is from December to April as it is famous as one of the best winter treks in Uttarakhand, the best time to visit the Chopta Chandrashila Trek is from April to November however this trek is open the whole year.
