Swargarohini Peak is not just another peak of the Himalayas, but a range with ancient beliefs and mythology. According to the Mahabharata, the Pandavas embark on their journey to heaven from Swargarohini. Historically, Swargarohini came into the picture for mountaineering in the mid-20th century. This expedition remains mostly unclimbed due to challenging terrain, difficulty level, and unstable weather conditions. Only a few successful expeditions were recorded between the 1970s and 1980s. Mountaineers from India, the UK, Japan, and other countries showed strong interest in this summit. The major notable summit is in 1990 when a team of NIM successfully scaled Swargarohini I.
Today, mountaineering expeditions have become a zealous sport, and many alpine clubs do summits. Still, the Swargarohin Peak Summit is less well-known due to its remoteness and difficulty level. The main summit is Swargarohini I, which stands 6252 m. The trail is difficult, as it traverses an avalanche-prone zone and features risky glaciers. This expedition requires excellent technical climbing skills. Unlike other commercialized summits, Swargarohni Peak Expedition still holds the means of raw essence and high skills. This beautiful summit is famous among skilled mountaineers.
Swargarohini is not a single peak but a group of four beautiful peaks. Every peak is unique and has alluring panoramic viewpoints. Among all peaks, Swargarohini I stands tallest with an altitude of 6252 m. This is the most difficult peak with extremely narrow ridges.
Your trail to the Swargarohini Peak Expedition passes through a beautiful Har Ki Dun valley. This beautiful valley is known as the “Valley of Gods”. Har Ki Dun offers untouched beauty and serene views. The green meadows and riverside campsites of this valley provided unmatched beauty. The nearby villages like Taluka and Sankri still hold the centuries-old traditional lifestyle.
