Sankri village lies in Govind Pashu Vihar wildlife Sanctuary and situated between starting point many small to high treks such as Har Ki Dun trek and Bali Pass starts from Gangad which is 18 km away from Sankri, Phulara Ridge, Fachkandi Pass and Kedarkantha starts from our guesthouse itself. The high pass Rupin Pass trek starts from Dhaula which is 20 to 22 km from Sankri.

Best Time to Visit Sankri, Uttarakhand

All year Sankri looks amazing wether it is winter or summer. Different seasons, different colors. 

Winter (December to February): Best for Snow

In winter, Sankri remains very cold. Sankri also get snow fall in January and February but this years it is not regular. The sunlight reaches very late here and goes very early which makes it even more cold.

Summer (May to June): Ideal for High-Altitude Treks

Summer is perfect weather to stay in sankri and sankri turns lush green during this time. At this all high altitude treks starts.
