We start early morning from Dehradun via the road towards Bhowali via the Ambala- Dehradun- Haridwar route. Bhowali is a village that falls is the Nainital District of Uttarakhand. This village offers some interesting places to visit including Golu Devta Temple. This place can be a spot to encounter some Himalayan wildlife like Jackals,Kakkar, Eagles and Pheasants. We stay at a guest house in this village overnight.
After breakfast, we start our drive early morning to Ramgarh by road. We trek from here through some dense wooded forest trails to get to Tagore top which is at an approximate distance of 3 km and further continues to Maheskhan for another 4 km. We head back to Bhowali for an overnight stay.
After breakfast in the morning, we Trek to Lands End – Dorothy seat and Tiffin top. Tiffin Top commands an excellent view of the Himalayas as well as the neighbouring country side. Dorothy seat a memorial to an English lady painter Dorothy Kellet build by her husband and admirers after her death. We head back to Bhowali by road. We stay at a guest house overnight.
After breakfast in the morning, we head back to Dehradun via road to conclude our experience.
The best time to undertake the Bhowali-Ramgarh trek is during the months of March to June and September to November when the weather is pleasant and trekking conditions are favorable.
The trek can be completed in about 2 to 3 days, depending on your pace and the specific route taken.
