The best time for Pangarchulla Trek is winter to spring when it’s usually sunny during the day and a little chilly at night. However, after sunset, the temperature drops dramatically. At Pangarchulla, daytime highs are about 15°C, while nighttime lows can be as low as -5°C or lower. Packing lots of warm layers is advised because the nights can get very cold. Pangarchulla may experience unforeseen showers, so it is crucial to be ready for them. To reach Pangarchulla trek, many means of travel are available for trekkers:

• By Air: The nearest airport to Joshimath is Jolly Grant Airport situated in Dehradun. It lies 290 km away. Jolly Grant has air services from the major cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore. On reaching Dehradun, you can easily hire a taxi to Joshimath, which is about 260 km away. If you are traveling with Himalaya Shelter the package starts from Dehradun itself. The journey from Dehradun to Joshimath takes 7-8 hours.
• By Train:  The nearest train station to Joshimath is Rishikesh, located at a distance of 245 km. Rishikesh has train services from major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore.
• By Road: There is also a bus option that connects Joshimath with other major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore. Reach Rishikesh or Dehradun and hire a taxi.

• Different Flora and Fauna, if you walk along the trail before the snow line, it will be accompanied by thousands of red rhododendrons. From oaks to silver birch to blue pine and Bhojpatra, prized for its bark to make papyrus, the path will lead you through trees. Keep an eye out for the Himalayan Tahr, black bear, and musk deer-most often found around this place. 
• Ridge-Climbing Thrill on Summit Day. You have to scale an incredibly steep ridge at the end of your climb to the designated summit, but it is worth the effort to be on the summit. The final stretch is tough, and when you reach the top, the rush of adrenaline is something indescribably feverish, combined with the pleasurable thrill that the snow-covered trail adds to the experience. • Adventures on Snow-Covered Safe Slopes– One of the most distinctive features this year would be snow on your winter trek to Pangarchulla peak trek. Joshimath: 6200 ft,  Rishikesh: 1120 ft

Dhaka: 8,790 ft,  Guling: 9,373 ft

• After spending a night at Joshimath, we’ll drive towards Dhaka village and start our trek to Guling.
• The steep trail leads you into coniferous forests consisting of oak trees with Mt Dronagiri overlooking the campsite.

Khullara: 11,122 ft

• We continue our trekking journey towards the Khullara campsite. 
• The trail leads you to the ridge that is part of the Lord Cruzons trail & allows you a glimpse of the Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Nilgiri & Hathi Ghoda peaks.

Pangarchulla summit:15,010 feet

• We will leave behind the forest line as we trek towards the Pangarchulla summit where 360º views of Garhwal peaks Nanda Ghunti, Trishul ranges await you.
• After soaking in the views, we’ll descend back to Khullara.

• We’ll continue trekking down to a lower altitude as we head to Dhaka with familiar oak trees coming into view once again.
• Upon reaching Dhaka, we’ll drive towards Joshimath where we’ll spend the night.

• We’ll check out of our stays and start our return journey by driving towards Rishikesh.
• The group will bid farewell to each other and take back some of the best memories of the trek with them.
