Kedarkantha and Kuari Pass both treks are popular winter treks of Uttarakhand. However, they both have different environments in terms of trekking and landscape. Both Kedarkantha Trek and Kuari Pass are differently located thus the total time and days to complete both treks are different from each other. The Kedarkantha trek usually takes 6 days to complete the trek.  However, on the other side, Kuari Pass Trek takes 5- 6 days to trek. Both have different terrains which is why the duration of both treks is so, distinct.  

In terms of view and scenery:

Now, the most mesmerizing part of the treks is their beauty. While both the Kedarkantha and Kuari Pass trek are one in a kind they still have different scenery. Kedarkantha offers impressive views of snow-capped peaks, and dense forest, and the meadows of Kedarkantha are unique and charming. Kedarkantha also offers a view of Swargarohini, Bandarpunch, and Balck Peak.

Moreover, on the other side, Kuari Pass allows us to see Himalaya Peaks like; Nanda Devi, Hathi Ghoda, Dronagiri, Kamet, Chaukhamba, and Neelkanth.

Altitude and Starting point

Both trekking destinations are at high altitudes. Kedarkantha is at a peak of approx 3,810 m (12500 ft). However, the altitude of Kuari Pass is around 3,650m (11975 ft). The starting point of the Kedarkantha trek is Sankri Village and the other hand, and the starting point of Kauri Pass is Tugasi Village. 

Difficulty and temperature 

Kedarkantha Trek is moderately difficult however, this trek is suitable for beginners. Speaking of difficulty Kuari Pass is not difficult but it is challenging so it’s better for experienced trekkers also if you are fit as a beginner you can complete the trek. If you opt for the Kedarkantha trek be aware that the temperature is cold in the higher peaks so be ready with your double layering.
