The Benog Tibba Trek is an off-the-beaten-path hike in the peaceful Benog Wildlife Sanctuary, which is located near Mussoorie. The top of Benog Tibba is about 2250 metres tall and has many attractions, including dense forests with trails, many types of birds, and expansive views of the Doon Valley and many Himalayan ranges around it. If you love nature or take pictures, this trek is perfect for beginners.
During the British era, the Benog region was protected as part of Mussoorie's green buffer zone and has a long history of protecting forest preservation. The Buyerod region was known for its many bird species, as well as being a tranquil retreat for British forest officials and naturalists.
Benog Tibba Trek is situated on the western side of Mussoorie, close to regions like Cloud’s End and Hathipaon. The area of Benog Tibba offers trekkers an opportunity to be away from the hustle and bustle of Mall Road and Lal Tibba and all of the tourist infrastructure that accompanies those viewpoints. This area allows you to have a true experience of trekking through a natural forest environment.
This trek is a good option for anyone looking to hike who has not had a lot of experience, as this trek does require some physical fitness because there are some longer sections of wooded areas and a few mild climbs.
