Overview Of UT Kangri Expedition

UT Kangri Expedition is one of the most adventurous and moderate to difficult level expeditions in the Ladakh region of India. It is close to Leh with an altitude of approximately 6,070 meters, and provides the trekkers a real experience of mountaineering. This is typically begun at Leh where trekkers will take a couple of days to acclimatize themselves to the elevated altitude. Then, the trail passes by cold deserts, rocky roads, and expansive mountainous conditions.

The scenery is literally enchanted with snow-capped mountains, never-ending brown mountains, and clear blue skies that are right there. Although it is termed as an expedition, it is deemed appropriate for experienced trekkers with the basic knowledge of mountaineering.

The summit is not the only special thing about UT Kangri, but the adventure that takes place on the way. Trekkers camp in skies full of stars, hike on glaciers and gradually acquire some fundamental climbing techniques such as crampon and rope use.

The last summit day normally begins very early in the morning when the world is silent with the mountains being shone by the moonlight. When you get to the summit, it is very emotional as you are able to see an unending Himalayan range that extends in all directions. UT Kangri is not merely a climb, it is an experience that will be in your heart long enough.
