Green Lake Trek is a popular high-altitude trek in Sikkim, India. Green Lake Trek Itinerary

It's roughly about 130 kms from the Bagdogra airport to Gangtok. Bagdogra, a quaint town in the scenic Darjeeling district of West Bengal, serves as the gateway to the northeastern states of India

In the way you will get Beautiful Hills and Valleys and Sightseeings, Journey takes about 6-7hrs to reach. The drive passes through Engrossing Sikkim villages and breathtaking sight being more than enough waterfalls. Night will be at hotel in Lachen.

We start our 3rd day with breakfast and after that From Hotel we Start Trek towards Zema. At Zema there is meeting point of two River of Zemu Chu and Thangu Chu.ย  After crossing the meeting Point of these two River we move ahead westwards up the Zemu valley following a trail through the forest. The trail for the first 6 kms is wide and broad After a further 6 kms we reach Tallem and stay in Nights at Camp.

Day 4th will be a relatively easy walk but at the End there is a small steep Stretch and after that there will you see brightly coloured Rhododendron Flowers. Night at Camp

The trek continues from Jakthang. After a short trek it crosses a bridge over Thombak Chu and then we go down towards the bank of the Zemu Chu and follow the trail at the side of the river. After 8 kms trek we will reach the Yabuk. camping at Night near the glacier.

Today you will going to walk on the rounded, large , and rough stones to reach the rest camp.ย There you will see magnificent views of mountain peaks like ย mt.Siniolchu and mt.Simvu. After a long walk we will reach at Rest camp and stay there for overnight at camp and rest your feet for next day.

After Overnight sleep and Breakfastย  finally we go to our Destination for which we come from far away which is Green Lake, ย vast open ground where we camp at night.

The day is for rest, explore Stunning high-altitude landscapes and experience the serene beauty of the lake. Night at Camp.

itโ€™s Time to go back ย where we startedย  from our journey, and the same path that we passed by. Night at yabuk in Camp.

Today we continue to trek downhill and stay at tallem and setup our camp here for the night.

Last trek of our journey, the route is downhill and an easy walk.

After breakfast drive for Gangtok. Stay in hotel.

After breakfast, pack bags and get ready for the Bagdogra airport, andย we will End great journey with you.

Clothing and Backpack

Get a good backpack (50 L) with a rain cover. Look for a bag that can provide you good back support. Pack 4 quick-dry t-shirts and 2 trekking pants. Get a pair of thermals (upper and lower) for night. Pack a fleece jacket or woolen sweater as a mid-layer. Get a waterproof wind breaker for sudden rain and chilly winds. For winter trekking, get a good down jacket. Now pack a woolen beanie and a balaclava. Get two pairs of gloves (woolen and waterproof). You should also pack a suncap for the daytime.

Footwear

You should look for good quality trekking shoes. Your shoes must be waterproof and provide good ankle support. Do not wear a new pair of shoes on the trek. Your feet must be familiar with the shoes. Now pack 4 pairs of trekking socks and 2 pairs of woolen socks. Pack a pair of comfortable slippers or sandals for the campsite.

Personal Care

For personal care items, start packing with your toiletries. Get a small zipper pouch and pack all the toiletries. Now look for a quick-dry towel and a toilet roll. You should also pack hand sanitizer and moisturizer. Pack a sunscreen that can protect your face from sunburn. You can also pack some snacks for the trek.

  1. Transport support from New Jalpaiguri to New Jalpaiguri
  2. All vegetarian meals, starting from dinner on day 1 to breakfast on the last day.
  3. Professional guide, cook, and support staff.
  4. First-Aid kit with Oximeter and Portable Oxygen Cylinder
  5. Rent for camping equipment like - Clean sleeping bags and foam mattresses, Good quality ‘A’ shaped or dome tents, Camping stools, tables, crawlers, and gaiters, if required
  6. Kitchen tents, common tents, and toilet tents with portable toilet seats
  7. Forest entry charges for Indian nationals (Additional charges will be applicable for international tourists)
  8. Porter and mule support to carry camping equipment and NOT personal luggage
  9. Accommodation throughout the trek is on a Double-sharing basis.
  10. Guesthouse accommodation on the first and second last days on a Triple-sharing basis.
  11. All applicable taxes

  1. Personal expenses like tips, personal medicines, phone calls, etc.
  2. Any transport support during the trek, apart from what is included above.
  3. Any cost or service not mentioned in the Inclusions
  4. Accommodation in New Jalpaiguri
  5. Adventure Insurance
  6. Costs arising due to unforeseen incidents like bad weather, medical evacuation, roadblocks, etc
  7. Porter and mule support to carry personal Luggage can be arranged at an additional cost of INR 500 per bag per day (weighing up to 12 kg)
  8. Please carry a lunch box for packed lunch/breakfast to avoid using polythenes and Aluminium foils. Keeping the Himalayas clean is our own responsibility. Reduce the use of Plastic when you are in the abode of the Sacred Himalaya. ๐ŸŒฑ
