The Jalori Pass, situated at an altitude of over 3000 meters, is typically snow-blocked during the winter months. If you enjoy day hikes in snowy conditions, winter could be an excellent time to visit. Depending on snow conditions, a vehicle can take you up to the pass or as far as the road is accessible. In contrast, the best times to visit Jalori pass for the Tirthan Valley or the Great Himalayan National Park are during the summer season (from April to June) and autumn season (October and November). It’s advisable to avoid the monsoon season due to the risk of dangerous roads from heavy rains and the possibility of landslides. Plus, the cloudy weather during this time can obstruct the incredible views of the Himalayas.
