Birds included in the Zoo are Hill Partridge, Kalij Partridge, and Rose-ringed Parakeet. However, the Zoo includes other animals too like Leopard Cat and Barking Deer. The time of the Zoo is 9:30- am to 4: 30pm. on Monday and public holidays Nainital Zoo is closed.

 Nearly the best time to visit is during summer from April to June and in the Autumn September to November. You will be able to see the beautiful view and get a chance to see such endangered species.   • Naina Devi Temple 

This temple is one of the renowned temples. There is a lot of history to the temple. It is dedicated to goddess Sati and it is believed that when Sati burned herself then lord Shiva cut Sati’s body into 51 pieces with his Chakra. However, Naina Devi is the temple where the eyes of goddess Sati feel down and thus it is called Naina (eyes). It is one of the Shakti Peeth. This temple is located in Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh. As the temple is at the top of the hill, facilities like cable cars are provided to the pilgrims.
