Kedarnath Trek 

Kedarnath Trek is part of Char Dham yatra also called as Kedarnath Yatra. This trek is mostly famous as a Religious trek which is located at the Rudraprayag district. The elevation of Kedarnath Trek is 3,583m. However, the starting point of the trek is from Gaurikund and Kedarnath temple is 16km away from Gaurikund.

Kedarkantha is a famous trekking destination situated in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. This trek is within Govind Wildlife Sanctuary with an elevation of around 3,810m. While describing the Kedarkantha trek it is evident that this is not a pilgrim trek like the Kedarnath temple. Kedrakantha is famous for its never-ending beauty and breathtaking landscape. You can start the trek from Sankri village which is the starting point of many other treks. Like Har Ki Dun and Bali Pass. the village includes many wooden houses and apple orchards. However, the time duration of the Kedarkantah Trek is 20km. Kedarkantha treks have many highlights like Juda Ka Talab, and rivers like Yamuna and include many wildlife species. 

Differentiation factors of Kedarkantha vs Kedarnath Trek 

The main difference between the Kedarnath and Kedarkantha trek is one is famous as a pilgrim trek. However, the other is famous as a beautiful trekking destination. One of the crucial factors of the Kedarnath vs Kedarkantah trek is that the Kedarnath temple is open from May to October. However, on the other hand, Kedarkanath is a winter trek open from December to October.

To complete The Kedarnath trek it usually takes 2-3 days Nonetheless, to complete the Kedarkantha Trek takes 6 days.
