  • By Air: The nearest airport to Joshimath is Jolly Grant Airport situated in Dehradun. It lies 290 km away. Jolly Grant has air services from the major cities – Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Bangalore. On reaching Dehradun, you can easily hire a taxi to Joshimath, which is about 260 km away. Pangarchulla Peak Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Dehradun to Joshimath

Joshimath: 6200 ft,  Rishikesh: 1120 ft

  • We will start our Pangarchulla Peak from Rishikesh and head for a scenic drive towards Joshimath.
  • En route, we will get to see four of the panch prayags – Dev Prayag, Rudra Prayag, Karna Prayag and Nand Prayag.

Day 2: Drive from Joshimath to Dhak and Trek to Guling

Dhaka: 8,790 ft,  Guling: 9,373 ft

  • After spending a night at Joshimath, we’ll drive towards Dhaka village and start our trek to Guling.
  • The steep trail leads you into coniferous forests consisting of oak trees with Mt Dronagiri overlooking the campsite.

Day 3: Trek from Guling to Khulara

Khullara: 11,122 ft

  • We continue our trekking journey towards the Khullara campsite. 
  • The trail leads you to the ridge that is part of the Lord Cruzons trail & allows you a glimpse of the Chaukhamba, Neelkanth, Dronagiri, Nilgiri & Hathi Ghoda peaks.

Day 4: Trek from Khulara to Pangarchulla and back to Khulara

Pangarchulla summit:15,010 feet

  • We will leave behind the forest line as we trek towards the Pangarchulla summit where 360º views of Garhwal peaks Nanda Ghunti, Trishul ranges await you.
  • After soaking in the views, we’ll descend back to Khullara.

Day 5: Trek from Khulara to Dhak and Drive to Joshimath

  • We’ll continue trekking down to a lower altitude as we head to Dhaka with familiar oak trees coming into view once again.
  • Upon reaching Dhaka, we’ll drive towards Joshimath where we’ll spend the night.

Day 6: Drive from Joshimath to Dehradun

  • We’ll check out of our stays and start our return journey by driving towards Rishikesh.
  • The group will bid farewell to each other and take back some of the best memories of the trek with them.
