The journey of your Dzo Jongo Expedition  begins with your arrival in Leh

Take rest and get acclimatized

Reach Shiul Sumdo, where your tents are set up. Take some time to rest and acclimate to the higher altitude.

Embark on the trek towards Shiul Pass.Reach the high mountain pass, Shiul Pass, which offers breathtaking panoramic views.

After exploring Shiul Pass, continue the trek towards Chaksung. The trail is around 6 kilometers and may take 3-4 hours to cover.

Reach Chaksung, Take an acclimatization walk around Chaksung. Take some time to relax at the campsite. Enjoy the tranquility of the high-altitude environment.

Embark on the trek towards the base camp. Although the distance may not be long, the terrain is steep, making it a relatively tougher day. Along the way, catch glimpses of Kang Yatse I and II, as well as Dzo Jongo’s more popular cousins.

Begin the day with a later breakfast at the base camp.

Head to a nearby slope for training and practice This session will focus on getting comfortable with the technical equipment and learning essential techniques for ascending and descending on the terrain.

Familiarize yourselves with the calls and signals used during roping. After the training session, take some time to rest and relax at the base camp. Stay well-hydrated throughout the day to support acclimatization.

Start preparing for the summit push between 11 PM and 12 AM

Start the climb on the almost flat but rocky terrain from the base camp. Head towards the slope of the mountain

As you reach the summit at 6,240 meters, take a moment to soak in the awe-inspiring view of the surrounding mountain ranges.

Start the descent down the steep slopes back to base camp
