Kedarkantha and Gulabi Kantha Trek both are different trekking destinations. One is a winter trek and the second is both summer and winter treks thus you will get the experience of your life from such breathing treks. Here, we are going to get more clear points while we discuss Kedarkantah vs Gulabi Kantha Trek.
Kedarkantha Trek is famous for winter trekking which means we will get to see peaks covered with snow, and also get a view of dense pine forest and all the winter-acquired views which will add more beauty to the trek. However, on the other side, there is the Gulabi Kantha Trek which is famous for summers although it is a winter trek too. This trek offers us to see lush green meadows, and diverse flora and fauna. The route is surrounded by Oak and deodar trees.
Both the treks are at different locations. Usually, to complete the Kedarkantha Trek it takes 6 days. However on the other hand it takes 5 days to complete Gulabi Kantha Trek. now discussing the location Kedarkantha is located at Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Nonetheless, the Gulabi Kantha is located in the Garhwal region in Uttarakhand. It’s evident that if the locations are different the time duration also changes.
The altitude of Kedarkantha Trek is approx 12500 ft (3,810 m)and the altitude of Gulabi Kantha is 12000 ft (3658 m). Now, let us talk about the highlight of Kedarkantha vs Gulabi Kantha. Both are famous and have particularly different attraction factors. Gulabi Knatha is popular for its fresh green meadows, the wild blooming flowers, variety of birds and wildlife. However, the highlights of Kedarkantha are snow-capped Peaks, like Swargarohini, Black Peak, and Bandarpoonch. Also, the main highlight is Juda Ka Talab and the sunset from the summit of Kedarkantha.
Kedarkantha is a challenging trek. The high altitude and cold weather of the trek make it challenging. Whereas Gulabi Kantha Trek is moderate-difficulty which means it is easy to do but it’s long in terms of days. The trail of Gulabi includes some rocky sections and has dense forest so, that could be a challenge for trekkers.
